The revision is always done by another translator who knows both the source and target languages. The editor compares the two texts and checks that the translation is faithful to the original in content and form, verifies that there are no errors in the translation (poorly translated words, concepts interpreted in the wrong way) or grammatical and spelling errors. They also verify that the translation maintains the same style of the original and the correct terminology.
