(more information <a href=\"https:\/\/conslondra.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/stato-civile\/come-registrare-una-nascita-in-italia\/\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is a necessary requirement for an eventual application for an Italian passport<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements to register a birth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Parents must be residents of the Consulate District (more information here)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least one of the parents must hold Italian citizenship and be registered with A.I.R.E.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Documents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To register the birth of your child born in the United Kingdom you need a Certified Copy of an Entry of Birth issued by the Registry Office. The birth certificate must be apostilled in order to be transcribed in Italy. For the Apostille, the competent body is the Legalization Office of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Translation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If registering the birth through the Italian Consulate in the UK you must submit a simple translation of the document and follow the Consulate&#8217;s procedure (click <a href=\"https:\/\/conslondra.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/stato-civile\/come-registrare-una-nascita-in-italia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the registration takes place at an Italian Municipality you must proceed with a sworn translation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Importance of sworn translation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sworn translation of the birth certificate from English to Italian is a fundamental requirement for registration at the Italian registry office. This document is needed for various administrative procedures, such as obtaining citizenship, registering children at school, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steps for obtaining a Sworn Translation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Send the Original Birth Certificate<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you proceed with a sworn translation at an Italian court, you must necessarily send the original document to our office either by hand or by post. Receive the translated and sworn document<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After taking the oath, we will provide you with the sworn translation of the birth certificate.
